Garage Envy will be at the 5th Annual La Jolla Motor Car Classic, at the beautiful La Jolla Cove on Sunday, January 11, 2009 from 11:00 am to 3:00 PM

As the weeks get closer to the Thanksgiving holiday, it's yet that time of the year... No, not just to stuff oneself with turkey and all the trimmings... rather, it's time for the famous annual Los Angeles Auto Show!

It promises to be a spectacular event showcasing some of the finest production and concept cars of the 21st Century. Hopefully, in light of the current economy, we'll see some "greener" autos on display and less of the pumped-up SUV's of the past... Given the crisis American auto makers are in, this would seem like the best bet, but there's no doubt that going to the show will allow folks to view some cars of the future along with those we'll all be driving over the next three years.

The show will also present a number of kiosks and events highlighting accessories and must-have items specifically designed for your car or garage.

The show will be going on from November 21-30, but check out the website for more details and location directions as well as driving directions.

32nd ANNUAL KERNVILLE ROD RUN - KERNVILLE

This year it will be held on October 9th - 12th. and is sponsored by Rhodeshow Productions.

There will be over 350 vintage Hot Rods and Car Classics at this show... so it should be a great time for those interested in seeing some of the most amazing automotive machinery out there!

The legendary (and very much old school) Burbank Road Kings will be hosting their annual Car Show on Sunday, October 19th, 2008 at Santa Anita Park. They will be showcasing hot rods and street rods along with other modified classic cars, sports cars and restored classic autos. There'll be some amazing work on display and more-than-a-few jaw-dropping' works that will include a series of muscle cars sure to rev-up any car-enthusiasts' heart.

The car show will be held in the infield area of the park and offer professional and celebrity judges as well as a chance to see that day's thoroughbred racing at the park.

Admission is $5 (free for children under 17-years, accompanied by the parent) and parking is $4 (but not for the classic cars... heh!)

PISMO BEACH CLASSIC CAR SHOW Now in its 23rd year, Central California’s Best Car Show returns to Pismo Beach, June 20th – 22nd. The Pismo Beach Classic is one of the largest classic car and street rod shows on the West Coast, as it pulls in 1000 classic cars and street rods and over 125,000 spectators over just three days. A favorite amongst the visitors is always the Hot Rod Bar & Grill – a large tent on the beach, located by the Pismo Pier that is centralized within the event; everything begins and ends at the Hot Rod Bar & Grill. This year, the size of the tent has been expanded to include the “Gold Class” cars that are on exhibit inside of the Hot Rod Bar & Grill. These cars are selected on the basis that they are the absolute elite cream of the crop and compete with each other for the Platinum award. The Platinum award winner is the overall winner of the Gold Class.
