Welcome to Garage Envy, Inc., a Los Angeles firm and proud ASID LA member! We are proud to have recently participated in the design and creation of the First Certified Green Garage in the U.S!

One of our primary missions has been to introduce eco-friendly building technologies into our industry and everyday business practices, from energy efficient products, to materials that are safe for our families and our environment.

Recently recognized as the leader of the Green Garage mission, we were proud to be selected to participate in the first LEED Platinum home in the San Fernando Valley, and one of the very few in the country.

LEED certification stands for The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating Systemâ„¢. LEED, created by the United States Green Building Council (USGBC), encourages and accelerates global adoption of sustainable green building and development practices through the creation and implementation of universally understood and accepted tools and performance criteria. The Platinum rating is the highest rating of LEED.

Our Garage Envy Green Garage is equipped with:

  • Energy efficient lighting
  • Non-toxic and environmentally friendly paints
  • Bench tops made of sustainable products
  • European style cabinets made of wheat board
  • Custom bamboo doors
  • Flooring with zero VOC (volatile organic compounds) materials

ASID members and the public will be able to view the Garage Envy Green Garage as well as the many other design features of this LEED Platinum certified home in Studio City, in October. Information and exact open house dates will be made available on ASID. For more information please visit or call 888.249.1766. You can also read about us in this month's Garage Style Magazine, Summer 2009 edition.

What kind of floor are you thinking about?
    ~seamless hybrid polymer floor
    ~rubber tiles
    ~stained concrete
Do you still park cars in your garage?
Are their oil leak stains? Severe cracks in your floor?

I will be publishing a post on garage floor options next week so stay tuned...

Amazing the momentum green is getting, and what fun to read about how to green your garage. I'll peak at the web site and see if there's an easy way to share the story on my web site.
